Be your own credit repair service

The Consumerist has a good highlight of (yes) another article about how credit repair agencies are ripoffs. I always wondered who would need these types of services, and even considered starting my own (in a split-second lapse of conscience). Perhaps some of you have used a credit repair service and gotten a good deal? Let me know because I have a biased view of them right now.

I also recommend subscribing to The Consumerist if you aren’t already. The Consumerist and its sister site Lifehacker.com are excellent sites for all types of financial, employment, technology and just general life “hacks”. They have a legion of followers and I’ve seen Consumerist sway major corporations a number of times.

By the way, I wasn’t paid to advertise these sites. I just think they’re good and you’d like them. Enjoy!
