Oh yeah, Happy 2nd Anniversary to Clever Dude

I’ve been without internet connection since Wednesday night, and I’ve just been lazy, so I haven’t written up anything special for this, but…

It’s CleverDude.com’s 2nd Anniversary!

That’s right, my first article was posted on June 6, 2006 in the form of marriage advice of all things:

Is running really a bonding activity for couples?

I wrote the article in the midst of training for the 2006 Marine Corp Marathon. And while 2006 wasn’t my site’s big year, I still have a few good articles from that year. But the site really hit it big in 2007, which is why I wrote the Carnival of Clever Dude 2007 article, highlighting all of my favorite posts from 2007.

So what am I going to do for this anniversary?

I have a giveaway planned, but I’m waiting on the prizes. I won’t be giving away cash or gift cards like some bloggers, but what I’m giving away is something very powerful: knowledge. No, really, it’ll be knowledge in book form :)

So keep on the lookout for the giveaway, which will probably be posted Monday-ish. Until then, feel free to browse through the archives, and don’t forget to subscribe to RSS or email!

    I am a new reader to this blog but congratulations on the 2 year anniversary!

    I have enjoyed reading this blog because you seem to be still in the process of getting your finances in order and your position is closer to mine than some other bloggers who have no debt and buy their cars in cash etc…

    Not that they are all preachy, but it can get daunting when I’m staring at my own credit card debt to hear about people making money hand over fist by exploiting the 0% offers and their good credit scores to invest.

    Internet outages hit us as well, but only intermittently (fortunately, since I had work to do).
