Say Happy Birthday to Clever Dudette!
Yep, she turns 30 today.
This means that I won’t be posting much, if anything, this weekend. We have a big pool party for her tomorrow, and I have the special surprise for her in 25 minutes.
Since I know she won’t see the site between now and then, here’s the surprise:
I’m dropping her off at the spa for a full body Swedish massage, a manicure and a pedicure. She’s REALLY wanted all three for a long time. We were supposed to get massages after the marathon last year, but we never got around to it. Well, this is a special enough occasion to splurge. She thinks we’re doing something together, but I wanted this to be her day. We’ll be together, along with her best friends, the rest of the day.
While she’s at the spa, I’m going to head to the mall to see if I can round up a nice purse for her. Honestly, if I leave it up to her, she’ll never get one. She’s been using a water bottle bag for the last 3 years (or more), and it’s falling apart now (it’s pretty cheap). She really takes good care of her stuff, so I know whatever I get her will last. I’m pretty good at picking out styles for her (just not the right size unless she’s wearing it), so I’m confident she’ll like what I get her.
