President Donald Trump has been making a push for things to be made in America. This so-called “Buy American” campaign has reignited interest among folks in the States in supporting vehicles that are produced in the U.S. The main goal of this campaign is to reduce the country’s reliance on imports and increase the number of jobs available to Americans. That said, many car companies still operate globally, with many of them choosing to manufacture their vehicles outside of the U.S. However, not all of them have done so. There are still a wide range of cars made in America, including these five models.

1. Chevrolet Silverado

You can’t really get more American than a pickup truck. Most Chevy vehicles are made in the United States, including the carmaker’s extremely popular full-size pickup truck, the Silverado. The truck is assembled in a number of states, including Michigan, Indiana, and Texas. Since its creation, the Silverado has been a staple in the American automotive market. On top of that, General Motors ensures that most of the truck’s components are sourced right here in the U.S. It truly is an American-made truck.

2. Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 is another best-selling pickup truck. Ford was founded in Detroit, Michigan, and many of its cars are still assembled here in the States. The F-150 is assembled in Michigan, Missouri, and Kentucky. Ford’s commitment to domestic production is evident in the F-150, with many components manufactured by U.S.-based suppliers. The truck’s reputation for toughness and innovation has made it a favorite among American consumers.

3. Ram 1500

Another pickup truck! Surprised? Well, don’t be. Most other countries don’t prioritize truck manufacturing due to regulations and the lack of space. The Ram 1500 is assembled in Michigan and Missouri, reflecting the brand’s dedication to American manufacturing. Praised for its combination of style, comfort, and capability, the Ram 1500 caters to a diverse range of drivers. Chrysler, the parent company, sources key components from U.S. suppliers, enhancing the truck’s American-made credentials.

4. Toyota Camry

You might be surprised to see a Camry on the list since Toyota is a Japanese brand, but the company has actually started manufacturing some of its vehicles in the U.S. The Camry is assembled in Georgetown, Kentucky, making it one of the most American-made sedans. It has a reputation for reliability and efficiency, which has made it a popular choice among U.S. consumers. Toyota’s investment in American manufacturing is evident in the Camry, with many parts sourced from U.S. suppliers.

5. Honda Accord

Known for its longevity and performance, the Accord appeals to a broad spectrum of drivers. Honda sources a substantial portion of the Accord’s components from U.S. suppliers, reinforcing its status as an American-made vehicle.

Supporting American Manufacturing Through Your Choice

Consumers can play a role in supporting the American economy by choosing to purchase vehicles (and other items) made here in the U.S.A. These five cars are made in America and they are among some of the most popular on the road. They provide quality performance, while also being produced here in the States. So, if you are looking to support the “Buy American” campaign, these are a good place to start.
