Best Stocks Under 1 DollarThe purpose of investing is to make money. Most people sink their money into established companies expecting growth over a long period of time. A select few want a side of adrenaline and volatility with their capital gains. They hope to strike it rich by finding the next Microsoft, or get a quick gain and then sell for a huge profit. Investing in the cheap stocks of less known companies provide exactly this kind of excitement. With that in mind, here are some of the best stocks under 1 dollar at the time of  this writing.

FuelCell Energy, Inc. (FCEL)

New leadership recently restructured the company with better cost control policies. FuelCell also secured new financing to help implement it’s new growth strategy and entered into a development agreement with Exxon Mobil. These developments have the market looking favorably on the company.

Titan Pharmaceuticals (TTNP)

Titan Pharmaceuticals is a bio-pharmaceutical company that underwent an IPO in 2018, raising $9.5 million. It is best known for Probuphine, a variant of buprenorphine used in the treatment of opioid addiction or chronic pain. Given the focus on the opioid epidemic, this may be a stock to watch.

AirNet Technology Inc. (ANTE)

Achieve Life Sciences, Inc. (ACHB)

Body and Mind Inc. (BMMJ)

A Canada based company investing in the cultivation, processing and selling of cannabis. Products included oils, extracts and edibles. Legal use of marijuana for both medicinal and recreational use is seemingly becoming more common in the US. This environment gives great potential to the growth of this stock.

Cheap stocks are a big risk, big reward proposition that is not the best fit for your retirement nest egg. But if you’ve got discretionary funds you’re willing to risk, the five listed here, which are among the best stocks under 1 dollar, may help you pad your bank account.
