1. The Powertrain Warranty: Original Owner Only

Hyundai’s 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty is indeed generous, but it comes with a significant caveat—it applies only to the original owner. If you purchase a used Hyundai, even if it’s just a year old, the powertrain warranty coverage drops to 5 years/60,000 miles. This reduction can catch second-hand buyers off guard, especially if they were unaware of this limitation.
