Trend Micro Cleaner One Pro Review
I’m always trying to make my devices last a little bit longer. Despite the fact that companies implement planned obsolescence techniques that force me to upgrade now and then, I’ve definitely saved money over the years with smart prolonging of my everyday gadgets. Therefore, when I got the chance to test out Trend Micro Cleaner One Pro, I was thrilled to give it a whirl.
What Is Trend Micro Cleaner One Pro?
Trend Micro Cleaner One Pro is a software program that cleans up your computer for you. It “allows you to visualize, manage, and free up your computer storage space all in one click!” In other words, if your computer is acting sluggish (or just feels overwhelmingly cluttered, like mine did), then you can use this tool to get it organized and speedy.

I use Apple devices. I switched over to them well over a decade ago, and I’ve been a committed Mac user ever since. My phone, tablet, laptop, and desktop are all Apple products. Therefore, I need software that works for Mac. Trend Micro Cleaner One Pro has both Mac and Windows versions.
Honestly, I used to believe that I didn’t have to do anything to keep up my Mac. I believed the hype that they don’t get viruses and never have weird problems. For the most part, I’ve definitely had better luck with Mac than I ever did with Windows. But I’ve learned that it’s important to stay on top of my devices anyway. So the occasional scan with a tool like this one makes a lot of sense to me.
It Really Is Super Simple
The product’s makers aren’t exaggerating when they say this is a “one-click” tool. It took me just a few minutes to install the tool into my applications folder. And it took only another couple of minutes for it to run the scan. Then I got my results. It was as simple as simple could be.
The Smart Scan told me the following quick things about my computer:
- There were 50+ MB of big files and 33+ GB of junk files.
- I had no duplicate files or similar photos.
- There are 15 different items enabled on startup.
- I have an OS update available.
- And there is 1 app that I haven’t used recently.
Deleting Files
For each of those things, I was able to quickly follow a “view details” tab. Therefore, I knew exactly what to do to remedy the issues. For example, I checked out what the app was that I hadn’t used recently. I determined I wanted to keep it, so I didn’t end up doing anything with it, but it was nice to know that I could have quickly deleted it to free up space.
Where I did clear up a ton of space was under “junk files.” It showed me exactly what was taking up space (my trash can, unused disk images, application logs, browser caches). I could very quickly check or uncheck any of those things and then hit “remove” to get rid of all I’d selected to delete.
I have a feeling I’ll discover more things that I can do with Trend Micro Cleaner One Pro as I use it more. But even with just a few minutes of use, it’s cleaned up my Mac.
