1. Social Conditioning Starts Early

From a young age, boys are often taught to “be tough” and not show vulnerability—these lessons stick. The message is clear: expressing fear, sadness, or even financial stress is seen as a weakness. This social conditioning perpetuates the adult habit of pretending everything’s fine, even when it’s not. The pressure to appear strong and self-reliant is deeply ingrained.

Parents, teachers, and even the media often reinforce the idea that men should handle their problems on their own. Over time, this can make it difficult for men to reach out for help or even admit to themselves that something’s wrong. The result? Silence and isolation, even in the face of real challenges.
