One thing that changed my mental attitude was to pay myself first. The first thing I do with my paycheck is to take the budgeted money for savings and pay it into my various savings/investment accounts before I do anything else. It is a ritual that allows me to say to myself &quot;I am personally wealthier today than I was yesterday&quot;.</description>
