Get $50 with a new TradeKing Account
A few weeks ago, when I was looking into my options for an account where I could buy stocks (outside of my eTrade Roth IRA), every blogger I asked recommended one online brokerage: TradeKing. And since the market is down so low (3,000-4,000 points from its high), now is the time to buy stocks!
And if you’re going to open an account, I (and many financial specialists, of which I am not) recommend opening an account with TradeKing because when you open a TradeKing account with $2500, you get $50. Why go with TradeKing? Well, other than their great user interface, you get trades for just $4.95 each. I can tell you that’s a LOT better than the $12.99 I pay through eTrade!
Here are the rules for this promotion:
- Has to be a new non-retirement account
- Funded with $2,500
- $50 credit applied when first trade is made
- Maintain a $2,500 balance for six months (minus any investment losses)
- Only one promotion per household
- Account must be opened after following a promotional link - not available by visiting the site directly
Hurry because the offer is only open until the end of October!

That’s a very enthusiastic review!
How much of a kickback do you get? Do you think you’re truly objective in your endorsement given the kickback?
@Anonymous, how is it enthusiastic? I mean it when I say now is the time to buy. And I mean it that $4.95 trades are much cheaper than eTrade’s. And I’m honest when I say other PF bloggers (and numerous pros) recommend TradeKing.
And it’s not called a kickback. It’s a referral fee, but I only refer products or services that I can truly recommend. You have no idea how many offers from advertisers I skip each day because I don’t think they’re good enough for my readers.
