Just a reminder that the Discover® More Card has just switched over to the new set of quarterly offers. This quarter (July, August, September), Discover is giving 5% cashback rewards for Gas, Hotel and Summer Fun!

“Summer Fun” means the following admissions are eligible for the 5% cashback bonus:

• Theme Parks
• Water Parks
• Museums
• Aquariums
• Zoos

If you weren’t aware, Discover changes its promotion quarterly on this card. Last quarter, they offered 5% cashback on Home and Apparel purchases (e.g. Home Depot and The Gap). Next quarter (Oct-Dec), they’ll offer 5% cashback on Restaurants and Movies (perfect for those cold winter nights!). You can also earn lower reward percentages for other purchases, which makes this an all-around cool card.

Additionally, if you don’t want to take the cashback bonus in pure cash, Discover has various partners for gift cards, certificates, movies tickets and more. Some partners will even double your reward dollars (that’s how we got our $300 Sharper Image stereo for free)!

Honestly, there’s only 2 credit cards that we use. One is my Chase card (for gas rewards), and my Discover card. Now that Discover is offering 5%, I think I’ll be taking the Chase card out of my wallet.
